Donor Spotlight Drs. Robert, 81MD, 84MR & Joyce, 77A, 81MD Hughes
Paying it forward
With their latest gift, a $1.5 million pledge
to Cardinal Covenant, Drs. Robert and Joyce
Hughes will help low-income students attend
the University of Louisville. The program covers
the cost of tuition, room, board and books for
students from families living at or below 150
percent of the poverty level.
"Joyce and I strongly believe in education
and knowledge as the greatest gift in life,"
said Robert Hughes "We want to make that
gift possible for as many students, present
and future, as we can."
Hughes is generous with his time and talents
as well as his treasure, serving as chair for both
the University of Louisville Board of Trustees
and the University of Louisville Foundation
Board of Directors.
