53 SUMMER 2018 What an exciting time for our university! Over the past months, our institution has passed several significant milestones and we are well on our way to a brighter future. Our staff is excited to work with our 18th President, Neeli Bendapudi, on implementing a new vision for the future of Uof L. She brings a contagious enthusiasm and a world of experience that can only take us to new heights. In addition, Vince Tyra will continue to provide the strong leadership necessary to build our athletic programs after being named the permanent vice president for intercollegiate athletics and athletics director. He has a clear passion for student- athletes that comes through in all he does. Under his leadership, we have also welcomed men's basketball coach Chris Mack to campus and look forward to the upcoming season as he builds a premier program. Let me also officially welcome those of you who are new graduates. On behalf of all our alumni, we welcome you, the class of 2018, into the Louisville Alumni family. Each year we grow stronger as students like you become alumni and head out into the world equipped and trained to make a positive difference in your communities. There are more changes ahead as we step into this next chapter in our long history. Thank you to our alumni and friends who have always stood with us. Now is the time to engage and help us shape our vision and the future of your alma mater. Contact us and let us know how we may be of assistance in keeping you engaged as we work together to form a brighter future for the next generation of Louisville Alumni.
