Get in line Students crowd the cash registers at UofL's Bookstore in 1978. The bookstore was then located in the basement of the University Center building, which opened in 1959. University Center was dedicated and renamed in 1995 for former UofL President James Grier Miller and his wife, Jessie Louise Miller. It is now known as the Miller Information Technology Center (MITC). By then, the bookstore had moved to the west wing of the Student Activities Center (SAC).
