A&S professor Elaine Wise, 93AD, enjoyed a private UofL group reception with Princess Von Hohenberg at her Austrian residence, Arstetten Castle. Von Hohenberg is the great-granddaughter of Archduke Franz Ferdinand (whose assassination started WWI), and a direct descendant of Maria Theresa and Marie Antoinette. The day the group visited her was proclaimed Princess Von Hohenberg Day in Louisville. 4. Joe Thompson, 64A, 67MD, and his wife, Ann, visited Mirabelle Gardens in Salzburg, Austria, one of the filming sites for the Sound of Music.
