Winter/Spring 2017 Issue Love Birds My wife, Cindy, and I enjoyed reading the "Love Birds" article in the recent edition of the UofL Alumni and Friends Magazine. We also met on UofL's campus, in Crawford Gym. In 1976, I was named an All-American Baseball Player and Academic All-American, and Cindy was a member of the nationally- ranked gymnastics team and winner of the Ed Kallay Memorial Award. We have been married 38 years and have run the All-American Fitness Center in New Hartford, New York, for 36 years. Our son, JT LaFountain, 04E, also played baseball at UofL and married Audrey Rendon, 08E, an All-Conference softball player at UofL. Our fondest memories were on the University of Louisville's campus, as "Love Birds" and parents of "Love Birds." UofL played a major role in the success of two generations, and we would like to say THANKS! Jim, 78A, & Cindy, 13E, LaFountain Students and servicemen The picture on the last two pages [of the Fall 2016 issue] is probably the pathology lab of Dr. A.G. Miller in 1944.
