Kasdan's Suture Sundays have become legend in the medical school, with 90 medical students each semester applying for 60 openings to learn the art of suturing from a premier hand and plastic surgeon. Kasdan began the lessons two decades ago when students would seek him out for extra help. The offi cial program now includes four Sundays of lessons — and breakfast. "It really speaks toward his generosity and his dedication to teaching to do it for groups of stu- dents month on month on month every year, just out of his own desire to share," said Jordan Jones, a medical student who participated in the program this fall. *To watch a video on Suture Sundays, visit UofL's YouTube channel at youtube.com/universityofl ouisville.
