She is serving a three-year term on the committee, which is made up of lawyers and non-lawyers. 2000s Timothy Foushee, 00S, 01GS, was recently hired as a project engineer at Dewberry in Sarasota, Florida. Blair Tolar, 00MD, was named medical director, BHMG, West Region, serving as a clinical leader for Baptist Health Medical Group physicians. LaShawn Gary, 02GMU, released his debut CD, "Love Peace & Praise," an 11-song album featuring smooth jazz, R&B;, gospel and spoken word genres. W. Richard Marshall, 02GB, joined Lutheran Homes Society, a nonprofi t provider of senior living and youth services based in Toledo, Ohio, as president and chief executive offi cer. Becky Lee Meadows, PhD, 02GA, 08GA, was promoted to full professor of English at St. Catharine College in St. Catharine, Kentucky, as well as chairperson of the Humanities Division. Michael G. O'Toole, 02A, 07GE, is a science coordinator at St. Vrain Valley Schools and initiated the Kilimanjaro Learning Xpedition in 2008. He also has worked at organizations such as National Geographic, NASA and the National Science Foundation. Tanee Brewer, 04B, was ap- pointed treasurer by Hillerich & Bradsby Co. Brewer joined H&B; in 2009 as the senior staff accountant. Natalie Boeyink, 07GMU, was appointed full-time jazz lecturer at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Natasha DeJarnett, 09GP, 13GP, started a new position at the American Public Health Association in which she will be researching governmental, workplace, and community policy to supply decision makers with information on climate change and chemical exposures. Douglas Miller, 09A, received the Al Smith Fellowship for visual arts/drawing from the Kentucky Arts Council in the amount of $7,500. The award recognizes professional artists who have reached a high level of career achievement. 2010s Thomas W. Allen, 11B, opened his own Allstate insurance agency, Thomas Allen Insurance Agency, specializing in personal and commercial lines of insurance. Frances A. Lewis, 11A, of Ann DeEvelyn Clothing Company, hosted the runway event "Borrowed Time" for the 2015 Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft. Maddie Schueler, 11L, was inducted into Central Kentucky American Inns of Court, a group dedicated to professional legal ethics. Joshua J. DeWar, 12GE, was honored by The Kentucky Department of Education and Ashland Inc. as one of 24 outstanding Kentucky educators to receive the 2016 Ashland Inc. Teacher Achievement Awards. Leslie Pierce, 12GE, joined Georgia College and State University's designated liberal arts college as chief human resources offi cer. Christy Eubank, 13E, joined the PeaceCorp as an English teacher in Cambodia where she will live in the community and teach basic and intermediate English. Stephen Goodwin, 13B, completed the CPA exam and is a tax associate at Mountjoy Chilton Medley LLP. Joshua S. Nicholas, 13GE, joined Eastern Kentucky University as associate director of development. Joshua also is engaged to be married to UofL graduate student Lauren Simpson on July 15, 2016. Melissa M. Simpson, 14A, was accepted to the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in Urbana, one of only 30 veterinary schools in the nation. O'Neale is a consultant, educator and author with more than 30 years' experience steering diversity and inclusion efforts at Fortune 500 companies such as Campbell Soup Company, Viacom's MTV Networks, and Cummins, Inc. In her most recent position with Cook Ross Inc., she designs and delivers workshops, seminars and lectures on leadership development and diversity for companies and organizations in more than 40 countries. Even at a young age, O'Neale was a driven individual; she started as a shoe shine girl when she was six years old. A member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., she also is the author of the book "Seven Keys To Success: Unlocking The Passion For Diversity."
