Educational Leadership,
Foundations and
Human Resource
Education in UofL's
College of Education and
Human Development,
were among the
recipients honored with
Tower Awards from
Presentation Academy of
Louisville on October 8
at the Louisville
Marriott Downtown.
Now in its 20th year,
the Tower Awards is an
annual event honoring
women leaders in their
f elds and highlighting
the contributions
and talents of these
role models to
Presentation Academy
students and the
Louisville community.
Presentation Academy
is a Catholic college-
preparatory academy
for young women.
Funds from the Tower
Awards are applied to
the academy's tuition
assistance program.
Since its inception, the
event has raised more
than $2 million.
Ganzel was named
dean in 2013 and
joined UofL in 1983 as
an assistant professor
in otolaryngology.
She served as director
of the division of
otolaryngology from
1993 to 2001, when she
became associate dean
of student affairs for the
School of Medicine.
Jean-Marie came
to UofL as chair and
professor in 2013.
She was previously
a faculty member in
educational leadership
at the University of
Oklahoma and Florida
International University.
