E D U Highlights Student Spotlight Hannah Kvitle Playing with a purpose UofL senior Hannah Kvitle spent part of last summer competing in the U.S. Women's National Senior A2 Program, winning gold at the Junior National Championships in Dallas, Texas. While volleyball may be her passion, her purpose is working with children with moderate and severe disabilities, which she does 10–12 hours a week at Churchill Park School in Louisville. The education senior said that somehow she always knew that she'd spend her life working with special needs children. "My uncle had Down Syndrome and passed away when I was in high school," Kvitle said. "I've sought to f ll that void by working with children with special needs and found educa- tion was where I could make the most impact. The best part of game day in The Ville is looking up in the stands and seeing these kids cheer me on." U L _ 4 4 4 4 UL_44 44 1 / 2 4 / 1 4 9 : 5 6 A M 1/24/14 9:56 AM
