A L U M N I L I F E Alumni Director Dear alumni and friends, The rise of the Internet age and the expansion of social networking have made access to information anywhere in the world as easy as a click of your computer mouse. This has also given us the opportunity to strengthen ties and reconnect with alumni around the globe and we encourage all of our graduates to take advantage of the power of your alumni network. UofL boasts more than 130,000 alumni who live all over the world, are in every profession and share your passion for UofL. We hear stories every day about people making a Cardinal Connection — people meeting as strangers but later parting as friends once they fnd out they shared the same classrooms or lived in the same residence halls. Our UofL alumni network is also good for business. Nearly one-third of all of our alumni are recent graduates. For employers, this means a vast resource of fresh, eager talent, while offering those with workforce experience the opportunity to be a mentor to recent graduates looking for guidance. For young alumni, it's a chance to get your resumé in front of a an array of potential employers who would like nothing better than to help the next generation of UofL students. We help foster these connections every day and are committed to being one of the strongest networking resources available to you. Our online presence through LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and alumni online community enables instant access to thousands of alumni, as well as the opportunity for you to connect with us, so we can update your profle and keep you "in the know." You'll also get access to alumni events so you can meet more people in person, rather than just online. Moving to a new city and don't know anyone? Contact us so we can fnd you the nearest alumni club where you can make new friends and contacts. We have them all across the world based on geography, special interest, affliations and personal interests. Great days are ahead for the University of Louisville. The alumni association is committed to being part of that growth, but we can't do it without you. It's your university and it's your alumni network. We need your help to build something special.
