Winter/Spring 2016 Issue
Now and Then: Opera surprise
Hey UofL Alumni Magazine,
"Imagine my shock when I started getting texts and emails
telling me there is a big two-page picture of me and others
inside the front cover of the most recent alumni mag.
Well, it took another week before it was in my mailbox
but there I was in full black and white!
Thanks for the pic. I know most in the picture, we were all
music students in Opera Workshop rehearsing in a room
called 22A on Shelby Campus. The Director was Dr. Allen
Robert Gross (just called ARG) and Dr. Randall Holden
(called Randy) staging.
FROM LEFT TO RIGHT: Top left, Jeannie Enlow Curtis,
79A; bottom left, maybe Barbara Clifton; me with the
dark beard; Rita Durbin; Paul Snawder; Jane Holloway,
79GMU, (this production was double cast and she was
Dido, too, if I remember correctly); and that might be
Marilyn Shepherd Taylor in the foreground. Oh, to have
that dark hair again. Thanks for the memories."
