Building block
Josh Saylor, president of the UofL Habitat for
Humanity chapter, and Stephanie Dooper,
past president, stand at a West Louisville
house constructed with $44,000 being raised
entirely by UofL students. Texas Roadhouse
gave them a big boost with a $20,000 match-
ing grant, and Dooper even biked 1,000
miles along the West Coast in support of the
project. The house, in the Portland neighbor-
hood, will become home to a single mother
with two children. "It is so rewarding seeing
our hard work come together for a very
deserving family," Saylor said. The house is
the f rst entirely student-funded Habitat for
Humanity house in Louisville. To donate,
