Queen of the court
UofL student Katie George
may have only just completed
her junior year, but she stays
awfully busy. George earned
her f rst degree after three
years with a double major in
communications and sport
administration.
George's long list of accom-
plishments to date includes:
• Volleyball player
• USA National Collegiate
Team silver medalist
• Honors Program student
• National Society of
Collegiate Scholars
member
• Miss Kentucky USA title
In addition to returning to
the volleyball team as its
leader in assists, George will
compete in the national Miss
USA pageant this September.
A f rst-time entrant, she
remarked, "I never thought
I'd be a beauty queen or in a
pageant wearing a crown.
This is crazy."
