Equine student "ponies up" at Derby
"It's the best thing I've ever done," said equine program senior
Chelsea Hackbarth, who guided 2014 Kentucky Derby contender
Uncle Sigh to the starting gate astride her pony, Uno. Hackbarth,
24, owned her f rst horse at age 13 and has been riding ever since.
She thinks her "ability to multitask" helped her land the pony-
riding job. This fall, she'll work weekends at Turfway Park while
attending class during the week at the College of Business.
