Take me out to the ball game…
Fans pack the stands at Parkway Field in 1942 for a Louisville Colonels game.
Parkway Field, at Eastern Parkway and Brook Street, was built in 1923 and
was home to professional and collegiate baseball until 1998.
Roof supports at the new Jim Patterson Stadium are built with green bricks
from Parkway Field's left feld wall and infeld dirt was taken from Parkway
and placed at Patterson Stadium when it was built in 2005.
